My first DSLR, Pentax K10D

I would like to talk about my first DSLR, Pentax K10D.

It looks like as other DSLR and please refer to the below image.

There can be divided as three groups about how people think of K10D.

1. Those who has no many idea about DSLR.

WOW DSLR, it must be expensive. BTW, what brand is Pentax? is it good or expensive?

2. Those who has some idea mostly Cannon or Nikon users

Wait, Pentax? is it good enough? Why don't you use Cannon or Nikon? 

3. Those who has much idea or owns Pentax

Hm... K10D... the person must be the beginner but it's a good start to use it and practice taking pictures with K10D

What do you have in your mind? Am I right?

I agree that Pentax is not famous as others are. However, I think this brand has the best cost efficiency and reasonable price comparing with specification.

Although it was released in 2006, it is not still turned over by any other DSLR

(But there is the technical barrier, I would like to limit the area as the beginner DSLR)

I will let you know guys why I like K10D

1. it has anti-handshaking function which applied to some expensive and high quality cameras. 

2. it consumes 4 AA battery so you can buy batteries outdoor if in hurry.

Some of them will say rechargeable battery is much better, but I prefer this way

(Am I snobby? lol)

3. Easy to focus on. Inside the real-view, if you press the picture button,  you can find a red dot which is what camera will be focusing on. You can simply move to any where with easy clicks in camera menu button.

The above pros are what I found out the biggest things and I am sure there should be much more useful function! Hope many Pentax users see it and feel sympathy!

 

Next time I will post pictures taken by Pentax K10D, then we will see how great it is.
